Here's why Bigg Boss Marathi fame Aastad Kale endorses limited-episode TV series

A re-emerging industry

Aastad claimed that he is sharing the note after a discussion with actress Swapnali. In the note, he wrote, "Thoughts that come up to my mind and actually after a brief chat with Swapnali, I would like to mention the issues that came up while discussing. Gradually, all the businesses are trying to re-emerge during the lockdown, and the entertainment industry is one of them." (PC - Instagram)

Limited-episode TV series

The actor shared why limited-episode TV series should be aired in primetime. He said, "What if a channel does something unusual now? If we are airing a series of 100 episodes, firstly, since the story has to be narrated in certain episodes, the beginning-middle-end method can be followed properly. Secondly, 100 episodes are about 4 months if we are making daily soap, this means that the person associated with each series will commit only 4 months. The contracts signed by the leading actors and actresses will be for 4 months only. They too can plan for something else in life." (PC - Instagram)

'They are beneficial for technicians'

Aastad claimed that this procedure will be beneficial for the technicians, too. He said, "If an actor/writer/director/technician gets a package of Rs 5 lakh for 4 months, he can also simply think about the investment. In other words, a total of at least 15 stories/topics can be brought in front of the audience in a year. The number of job openings will also increase." (PC - Instagram)

Decrement in criticism

The actor also feels that the criticism will also be decreased if the makers will follow the process of a limited-series episode. He added, "There will be a possibility of decreasing criticism because of the boring, flopped and illogical content of television." (PC - Instagram)

Budget plays an important role

Aastad further opined that budget also matters in such projects and it will make everyone happy. He said, "Since it would be a project of certain episodes, the budget can also increase and it will really make everyone happy. I don't know how much all this is possible, but I really think that something like this should happen." (PC - Instagram)
