People are still not serious about the pandemic

I think still people are not taking the pandemic seriously. We are seeing people are still roaming around and not staying at home. This is one of the reasons, we see a rise in numbers. The numbers are increasing day by day. We should not leave our home anyhow. I can understand people need to go out for essentials but some people just roam around for fun. People are not following the lockdown strictly. After buying essentials, I sanitize everything and then use it but still, I have a fear about the virus. I just wonder how people can go out without any reason. Even after spreading awareness, there is no seriousness. In initial days, I was telling everyone to follow necessary precautions on the sets but everyone made fun of me because no one had that the idea that this virus can spread so rapidly. I was so scared at the time but people advised me saying, one day we have to die so I replied to them saying why would I die now. I will die my natural death after 20 years but now I don’t want to destroy anyone’s life who has very low immunity like kids or aged people. It would be a murder if I do so. It's really disgusting. Need to take precautions even after the crisis

We all should follow the precautionary measures until and unless we don’t get the vaccine. There would be always a fear of this crisis even after the lockdown. Maintaining hygiene, sanitizing should be also there even after the pandemic. (PC -Instagram)

Future consequences on the sets

Right now, our lockdown is extending so I think the producers, directors, and channel authorities have a lot of time to discuss future consequences. It’s not the right time to predict anything about the crisis because we are still fighting. It's not over yet. The producers and directors will give us working guidelines once this lockdown gets over and we will follow those strictly. (PC -Instagram)

Corona effects on the TV industry

I think, when a break comes into your life then definitely we step back a little. Lockdown is a kind of a break for us now. People who have invested their money in TV shows or films, there would be surely some flashbacks of it for them. We don’t even know if people will watch those old TV serials again or not. Everything will be changed. Not only channel authorities, technicians, actors everyone will face one or other crisis in their life due to this pandemic. Many actors wait for a few years for the right opportunity but now I think it's going to be difficult for them too. Some actors work for a few months and save their money for the entire year to survive. The pandemic would definitely affect the TV industry in many ways. (PC -Instagram)

Covid19 positive cases give stress

I do get stressed after seeing those increasing numbers of corona positive cases. Financial stress is also there. Remember ‘Khaali Deemag Shaitan Ghar’ so you have to keep yourself more engaged. (PC -Instagram)

Dealing with Mental health

In the initial lockdown days, I had anxiety issues. Then, one day my husband took my phone and kept it away and told me to enjoy my time at home. That day, I felt so good. I am not that much active on social media nowadays. I am also not watching the news because I know how to maintain hygiene and other things. Along with social distancing, I am also doing social media distancing. Apart from this, meditation, yoga, and Pranayam also help me maintain my mental health. I have a son and after seeing him, I forget my worries. Cooking is also my stressbuster. (PC -Instagram)

Missing 'Aai Kuthe Kay Karte'

I am missing the fun on the sets. Yesterday our director sent me a video of the set and I realized how I missed it. The thing is it's your second home, so you leave that inevitable part there. It feels so nostalgic after remembering everyone on the sets. (PC -Instagram)- Interview by Vaishnavi Gavankar
