Exclusive - Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra fame actor Prithvik Pratap: I've survived on biscuits, coffee and at times couldn't afford one; happy that good days are finally here

Popular Marathi actor and comedian Prithvik Pratap hogged the limelight in a very short period; all thanks to his TV show Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra. The actor, who is known for his impeccable acting skills and rib-tickling comedy skits, has gone through a rough patch during the initial days of his career. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Prithvik Pratap spoke about his good, bad and ugly in life and more. Excerpts...

2/6

MHJ has given me identity

I have done many TV shows and films so far in life but the limelight and support I have received after doing MHJ is immense. People have loved my comedy timing and performances in MHJ. They shower so much love on me. The show has brought a lot of positivity into my life and gave me an identity.

I would survive on that biscuit packet and coffee

There used to be open auditions in offices at Versova and we had to ask people for work. I still sometimes go there. There you get Rs. 50 and give open auditions with a packet of biscuits and a coffee. I would survive on that biscuit packet and coffee. I still reminisce about my memories and get emotional. I am happy that good days are finally here.

4/6

When I could not even afford a coffee...

There was a time when I could not even afford a coffee but now I have expensive coffees and also spend money on necessities. This is the big difference between the struggle phase and today's life.

5/6

I have learned so much from their skills

I have met several experienced people in my life. I have learned so much from their skills and thoughts. I also got to meet people who are very creative and love their craft. These things inspire and encourage me to work harder.

6/6

I feel blessed for whatever I have got

I feel blessed for whatever I have got in my life, especially the support and love from my fans. I feel an actor flourishes more when he gets the right support and love from his/her fans. I am doing the same and trying to improve myself day by day.
