Exclusive: From Namrata Sambherao to Samir Choughule; actors share their excitement as Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra completes 300 episodes

Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra' has been entertaining the audience for the last two years. The popular show, which earned an undisputed place in the audience's hearts with the exceptional skits, recently completed its 300 episodes. The actor of the show Vishakha Subhedar, Samir Choughule, Paddy Kamble, Arun Kadam, Namrata Sambherao, and others, spoke exclusively to ETimes TV and shared their experience of working in the show.

The viewers love our skits but there is one skit where Paddy and I become school kids, and Shyam becomes a teacher (Guruji). Our famous tagline 'Don Paav Burjila, Salute Maru Gurujila' has created a buzz on social media. I received a few messages from my fans saying why you guys have invented that tagline, our kids do the same to their teachers (Laughs).

I am so blessed to receive so much response from the audience. Also, my character lolly has received so much appreciation from the audience. Prasad Khandekar and I try to give the audience something innovative with our skits, and I hope the audience continues to provide us with so much support.

Our makers give so much importance to the characters and situations. Our director, Goswami sir, highlights those things where you feel lacking. I and Vanita feel blessed together that our pair is together and entertaining the audience since last 2 years.

Our show focuses more on situational comedy. We involve our technicians, judges, and everyone in the skit, and this must be the first-ever show in Marathi where crew, judges, and actors perform a skit or either involve in one other skit.

I am feeling so good after completing the 300 episodes. It's a feeling of fulfillment. We all have done hard work and reached the milestone of 300 episodes. I have received so many compliments from my fans saying they have started watching Marathi television because of MHJ. MHJ has not only made all of us a celebrity and also made us an integral part of the audience's families.

Samir and I have been working together since the first episode of MHJ, and our chemistry has connected well since then. It's incredible when there is a pair that has an actor and reactor too. We try to portray many subjects by using our style, and sense of comedy, and the credit goes to the makers also. The audience remembers our skits and our dialogues, and that's the token of their love.

I can't believe we have completed 300 episodes. I am paired with Arun Kadam and Shyam Rajput, and we have performed tons of skits together. Me and Arun Kadam often play characters of kids and children, and that's the beauty of our show. I never imagined that I could play a kid at the age of 50, but our director and writer helped us perform it better on-screen.
