Cast of iconic Marathi show 'Abhalmaya' reunites; actress Mugdha Godbole says, "those were good old days"

One of the iconic Marathi shows of the '90s, 'Abhalmaya' was popular among viewers for its family-driven and emotional content. The show was the first ever daily soap that was launched on the first Marathi private TV channel in 1999. Recently, the star cast of the show reunited after many years and recalled their fond memories of the show.

Actress Mugdha Godbole shared some glimpses of their reunion and got emotional while reminiscing the memories. Mugdha wrote in the caption, "An adventure that started a few decades ago when the first private Marathi channel was introduced.


Zee Marathi was Alpha Marathi. And the first daily soap was “Abhalmaya.”

Abhalmaya was a family TV show which revolved around the woman Sudha Joshi and her family. Her family bond, love, relationships and struggle stories entertained the viewers.

For the unversed, Abhalmaya was one of the most successful TV shows on Marathi TV. The show aired from 1999 to 2003 by airing 700 episodes.
