Amruta Dhongade, a Kathak dancer turned actress, has made her presence felt in both Marathi television and Film Industry. At first, she shot to fame with her role in the 2018 Marathi film Mithun, opposite Vishal Nikam; and then with her role as ‘Suman’ in the famous Marathi TV show Mrs Mukhyamantri opposite Tejas Barve.
Mithun was a political drama film which was carefully wrapped with romance. Amruta’s character Kanchi was the highlight of the movie and garnered praise of the industry.
Amruta looks up to her role model Madhuri Dixit as she feels that the Bollywood actress is an unbeatable complete persona who can act as well as dance.
Knowing her passion for Kathak, Amruta’s friends had suggested she start a career as an actress which she so far has done flawlessly.
Born in 1997 in Kolhapur, Amruta was brought up in Pune. She is a B.Sc graduate from Bharati Vidyapith Pune.
