Speaking to us, Bharat said, “I have lodged a complaint already, but haven’t got my phone. Besides losing all contacts, I also lost the promo and creatives for an upcoming project that I have been working on from home. My son Dhruv had helped me shoot and edit the promo, which was to launch today on YouTube. However, we had to rework the entire thing from the backup we had.”
The project, called Bhartacha Bharit is about incidents related to rural language, the different ways in which people speak and more, and Bharat had shot the videos during lockdown. “I am glad the videos were backed up, but the creatives were in my phone itself and we lost those,” adds Bharat, who also resumed shooting for Chala Hawa Ye Dya a while ago.
After resuming shoots, due to less people on set and no audience the whole experience is different. Bharat adds, “We are used to working with 150 people on the set, but now there are only 35. Adding to it, there is no live audience and it feels hollow while performing. We used to get laughter for punches during the shoot. The live audience gave instant feedback and we miss that. At the same time, we understand that this is for the better considering the current situation. A larger audience is waiting for us in front of the TV sets. And we are shooting for them.”
