Exclusive : BB Marathi 2 fame Parag Kanhere talks about marriage with Mukta Bhatkhande, equation with Rupali Bhosle in the BB house and more

The popular celebrity chef and ex Bigg Boss contestant Parag Kanhere tied the knot with beau Mukta Bhatkhande in a small ceremony a few days back. Right from his divorce to confessing his feelings for co-contestant Rupali Bhosle and assaulting Neha Shitole in the BB house in season 2, Parag was controversy’s child. I and Mukta met in 2016. My friend Meera introduced me to Mukta. We knew each other before Bigg Boss, too. We used to just say Hi and bye on social media. We were not in touch for a while. After Bigg Boss, she discussed with me about a project where the brand is looking for some chefs to collaborate. Later, we started dating. Actually, it wasn’t dating; we spent time with each other. Mukta was not a follower of Bigg Boss but her mom was. There was a discussion in her family about me that I do some entertaining stuff and give more content to the show and that’s why everyone holds a grudge on me. (PC -Instagram) Interview by Vaishnavi Gavankar

Mukta has seen my Bigg Boss journey. After coming outside from the BB house, she told me why she started liking me. She liked my care and affection towards Rupali and when she met me, she got to know about my genuine nature. She told me once that she liked my strategies and whatever happened with me in the house created a soft corner for me. She then referred to me at her company for collaboration because I was popular. One day Mukta asked me for marriage but told her that I am not mentally prepared because I got divorced. She gave me a break. When we started working together again later, she used to come to my place and talk to my mother. Mukta’s nature is really nice. She connects with people easily. She used to feel my home like hers. I started feeling that she is the perfect ‘Bayko (wife) material’. From my divorce, debts and my BB journey, I’ve spoken to her about everything. Still she is supporting me and wishes to marry me. The moment the thought of marriage struck my mind, I thought I should propose her. We were at some festival celebrations and someone misbehaved with Mukta which left her depressed. That person also misbehaved with me. She broke down in front of me and was filling a complaint against that person. I told her to not worry and said I will marry her after a few days. I gave her moral support. It was so shocking to her that she was writing a complaint note against someone and I confessed my feelings. She neither said ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Later, I formally proposed her at Nitin Chandrakant Desai’s party and she instantly said ‘Yes’. (PC -Instagram) Interview by Vaishnavi Gavankar

Mukta’s first wedding was a big fat ceremony and I also spent a lot on my first wedding. So, now we chose a low-key one. Moreover, there is Covid-19 scare, too. So, we registered our marriage on Holi. We brought colors in our life with our marriage. (PC -Instagram) Interview by Vaishnavi Gavankar

I am a kidney donor. There were so many misconceptions in people’s minds about Kidney donors. One of the misconceptions is those who donate their kidneys can't live their live fullest. My first marriage was with Madhavi. We started having fights right after marriage. We never fought before. Madhavi was also ambitious and hardworking just like Mukta but after marriage, we thought that it isn’t working for us anymore because our families were getting affected, too. Madhavi didn’t ask for any alimony and we got divorced on mutual consent. Mukta sometimes reminded me of Madhavi. One day, suddenly, I called Mukta as ‘Madhavi’. As a girl, Mukta felt bad and asked me why I did so. I then consoled her and she understood. When you don’t end your marriage on a bad note, that person always stays in your heart. When I created a group, Rupali held my hand for 2-3 hours and she was constantly crying. I thought she was deeply in love with me. That house and atmosphere was like that.
