Anurag Worlikar: I like acting and direction equally

Anurag Worlikar who is recently entertaining audiences with his role as a Kabir in show ‘

Dr. Don

’ began his

acting

journey as a

child artiste

. Anurag was first seen in the movie ‘Devaki’ released in 2001.
Anurag who loves acting shares his journey with us. He says, "After ‘Devaki’, I was in the show 'De Dhamal'. Lately I was a part of films 'Por Bazaar' and 'Mission Champion'. Also, I played an important role in the TV show 'Nivdung'. My recent film was 'Barayan'. My journey in the entertainment industry will now complete 20 years."



There are many takeaways from the journey for Anurag. He adds, "I am lucky to work with many senior artistes in this journey. In '

Devki

', I worked with Alka Kubal, Girish Oak and Shilpa Tulaskar. In 'Barayan' I worked with senior actors like Pratiksha Lonkar, Nandu Madhav and Sanjay Mone. Working with Subodh Bhave and Sharvari Jamenis in the movie 'Mission Champion' was like dream come true. All these projects gave me opportunity to observe these senior artistes and learn many things about the field. Now when I am doing various roles I am implementing things learnt from these well known artistes."

Anurag also completed his education in

Mass Communication

and aims to explore

direction

field too. "I completed a short film ‘Vaarsaa’ recently. The film received good response in film festivals.” With ‘Vaarsaa’ he explored the direction field. When asked what he would love to explore in future acting or direction, he replied, “I like both acting and direction. I want to continue working in acting and also want to go for direction. Presently I am working for a TV show which needs commitment of time. However whenever I will get chance I will keep exploring the direction field. I like both the fields. Also, while working for a short film I wrote script too. I am not pro at it but trying it."

Presently he is enjoying working with actors Devdatta Nage, Shweta Shinde and others in the show ‘Dr. Don’. In the show he is shown as a son of Shweta Shinde who is essaying the role of Dr Monica, dean of medical college.
