Aashutosh Gokhale set to make his directorial debut in Marathi theatre

Aashutosh Gokhale who became a household name with Marathi TV shows like 'Tula Pahate Re' and 'Rang Maza Vegala' soon will be seen donning director's hat. He is set to make his directorial debut in Marathi theatre.

The talented actor who is also a son of veteran actor Vijay Gokhale shares his plans and revealed about his directorial debut in theatre exclusively with Pune Times. Aashutosh says, "I have plenty plans for this year. But I am planning to direct a commercial play this year. This will be my directorial debut in theatre. I have been working on a play since a year and if everything goes well then the play will have its first show at the end of this year." The Aashutosh however did not share about the play much.

Apart from this, Aashutosh is also looking forward to act in a play. "I have received few scripts and I will be seen acting in one play soon. Due to capping of 50 percent on auditoriums occupancy, the project is on hold but most probably it will have shows after April or May this year," he adds. Meanwhile we have also learnt that the 'Rang Maza Vegala' actor may be seen in a Marathi movie too and his fans are also eagerly waiting to watch him on big screen.

Meanwhile, his TV show 'Rang Maza Vegal' has been entertaining audience with an interesting turn. His character Kartik, is happy because his wife Deepa is expecting twins. But everything can not be smooth and this will reflect in the storyline soon.
