Star Singer fame Rithika: It's surreal to be part of the show I grew up watching

Rithika, known for her Star Singer journey, has been captivating audiences with her soulful voice since the age of 9. Beyond Malayalam shows like Gandharva Sangeetham and Super Star Junior, she has left a lasting impression in Tamil music competitions like 'Sun Singer' and 'Super Singer'.

In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, Rithika expresses her gratitude for being part of Star Singer, a show she watched growing up. She lauds the unmatched dedication of mentors in grooming contestants, stating, "The detailing to which our mentors teach us is exceptional." Despite participating in numerous reality shows, Rithika contends that Star Singer stands out in perfecting contestants. She emphasizes the importance of infusing emotion into each word of a song, crediting the show for elevating her singing to new heights.



Reflecting on standout moments, Rithika cherishes KS Chithra's praise for her rendition of 'Varmukile' as one of the best she's ever heard. However, the pinnacle was receiving an offer from Ranjin Raj to sing in his next movie. Overwhelmed by his revelation of facing financial struggles similar to hers, Rithika hopes the show will pave the way for opportunities to overcome her family's financial challenges.

"Every moment in Star Singer is special. When Chithra aunty commented that my rendition of Varmukile was one of the best renditions she had ever heard, I felt so excited and grounded. However, the most special will be Ranjin Raj offering a song in his next movie. It was overwhelming when he opened up that he had also undergone severe financial issues like me in the early days. I wish the show helps me establish myself and grab opportunities to fight the financial issues our family is in," Rithika concluded.
