Special Onam programmes on Mathrubhumi TV

Popular Malayalam television channel, Mathrubhumi TV, will air special programmes to ring in Onam festivities. Apart from exclusive interviews with leading stars, the line-up of special programmes includes ‘Paattonam’, a show by comedian and actor Jayaraj Warrier on Onam songs and memories of the festival celebrations. The show will be aired at 7.30 pm on September 12 and will have a re-telecast at 9.30 am on September 13.
On Uthradam day, September 13, the shows scheduled include ‘Lal Folio’, a chat show in which veteran directors Priyadarshan, Sathyan Anthikad, Sibi Malayil, Shaji Kailas, Kamal, Rajeev Nath and more will share their individual experiences working with actor Mohanlal.The programme will also feature the actor’s version on working with the film makers. The episode will be aired at 10.30 am with a re-telecast on September 14 and 15 at 9.30 am.
It will be followed by ‘Sunny Kallippillalla’, a tete-a-tete with actor Sunny Wayne on his memories of Onam on September 13 at 11.30 am and re-telecast at 5.30 pm. Adding glam to the celebrations, Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar will talk about Malayalam films and co-star actresses from Mollywood. The programme, ‘Kannadaraja’ will be aired at 11.30 am on Thiruvonam day which falls on, September 14 and will have a re-telecast at 9.30 am on September 16.
Meanwhile, singer P Jayachandran will enthral the audience through ‘Jayachandrika’, a show in which he will discuss about his new songs. He will be joined by lyricist B K Harinarayanan and thayambaka player, Kakkad Rajappan Marar. It will be aired at 7.30 am on September 14 and at 11.30 am on September 15.
