Popular actor Kailas Nath, adored for his portrayal of Pillai Chettan in the popular series 'Santhwanam,' has passed away. The 65-year-old actor had been battling non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis and was undergoing treatments for the past few years. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Kochi on Thursday (August 3).

Actor Kailas Nath, who was much-loved for his character Pillai Chettan in 'Santhwanam' has passed away. The 65-year-old, who was undergoing treatments for non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis for a couple of years, breathed his last at a private hospital in Kochi on Thursday (August 3).

'Adieu Kailasetta, Popular actor Kailas Nath passed away. Condolences,' she wrote on her social media handle.

It was in 2021 that Kailas Nath suffered a minor heart attack on the sets of the popular show 'Santhwanam'. Later, he was diagnosed with non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis and was advised to do a liver transplant.
