The iconic show of Indian television, 'Ramayana' is all set for a re-run and the audience are quite excited about the same.

, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, has recently announced that the show will have a re-telecast from Saturday (March 28), following public demand.
E Times-TV spoke to Seetha actress
Swasika Vijay about her memories of watching 'Ramayana' on TV during childhood days.
"I still remember the days when we all used to gather in front of the television set on Sunday mornings for the show. The hall used to be filled with people, with both our family members and neighbours. It was indeed one of the best childhood memories,"she said.
When asked about the Malayalam TV shows she would like to vote for a re-run, without any second thought,
Swasika suggested the evergreen comedy show 'Cinemala'.
"I would like to see Cinemala again. It was one of my favourites back then. It will be interesting to watch the old episodes of the show which had actors like Salim Kumar,
Ramesh Pisharoday
, Dharmajan and others who are very popular film actors now," Swasika suggested.
The actress also recommended a re-telecast of the popular show 'Minnukettu'.
"From the title song to the character names, everything about this serial is still fresh in my mind. The storyline was interesting and the cast was very strong as well. I will definitely watch if 'Minnukettu' is back on TV," she added.
On the work front,TV actress Swasika Vijay became popular playing the titular character in the show 'Seetha'. Her striking on-screen chemistry with actor
Shanavas Shanu
was widely adored by the audience. Despite the show went off-air a few months back, social media is still flooded with fan-made videos of Seetha and Indran, popularly known as 'Seethendriyam'.
