No matter how many shows actor Rajesh Hebbar had done in his career span, he remains as the charming

Dr Shyam

of '

Orma

' in the hearts of fans. The actor, who managed to gain much attention with the show that also marks his TV debut, is now all excited about its re-telecast. In a candid chat with ETimes TV, the actor takes a stroll down the memory lane and reveals many interesting things about his experience of working on the show.

"Without a doubt, 'Orma' is one of the important milestones of my career. To work with ace director

KK Rajeev

was equal to winning Oscar for me. This show gave me the confidence to dream about becoming a full-time actor," says Rajesh.

The actor has recently shared a throwback picture and a note on his social media account on 'Orma' and notably the show was set for re-telecast the following week.

"I was stunned to hear the title song of 'Orma' on TV a couple of days before. What surprised me more was, my twin daughter, who was just 7 years old when the show was on-air, came screaming to me. They still remember the show. How do I feel to watch it again on TV? Well it’s hard to put the experience into words. I am reminiscing every emotion I went through during the shoot. It feels like I have travelled in a time machine. I am reliving the fear I had when I face KK Rajeev, the excitement to work with such a prominent team, the anxiety wondering if I‘ll be able to meet their expectation," he opens up.

The actor also shared that he never knew that 'Dr. Shyam' would become so dear to the telly audience.

"TV was a huge fascination for the actor in me. But, I never knew that my character would get such acceptance. I have never missed a single episode of the show. At least during dubbing, I made sure I never missed my show," he recollects.

Talking about the on-going lockdown due to Covid-19 spread, the actor shared that it has given everyone the much-needed break to sit back and introspect.

"We miss the audience a lot. We are actors who always seek appreciation. Every social media post you see is a way to remind the audience that we are still here. We don't know when things will be back to normal. But, on a positive note, this time has given some me-time. The time to analyse yourself," he concludes.
