Kannada actress Pallavi Gowda has swiftly carved a niche for herself in the hearts of Malayali viewers, gaining widespread recognition for her roles as Alli teacher in 'Alliyambal' and Sharika in 'Swayamvaram.' In a recent candid conversation with ETimes TV, she shared her enthusiasm about her journey in the industry, the affection she has received from the Malayali audience, and her experiences with the popular show 'Swayamvaram.'Expressing her gratitude, Pallavi Gowda shares, "I feel very blessed to be a part of the Malayalam TV industry. I don't think many will get such luck coming from another industry. Acting is not my bread and butter, but my biggest passion. It always pushes you to work hard. I cannot thank the Malayali audience enough for welcoming me wholeheartedly. Now, I feel like a little girl hopping from Bengaluru to learn new things."Despite acknowledging Malayalam as one of the challenging languages, Pallavi expresses her excitement about learning it. Sharing her language-learning journey, Pallavi mentions, "I am curious to learn new words in Malayalam. Here, we have started a barter system. Every day, I teach the team one Kannada word, and they teach me one Malayalam word back. I am enjoying it a lot. The first word I learned in Malayalam was 'Chechi' (sister)."Presently, Pallavi takes on the lead role of Sharika in the show 'Swayamvaram'. The actress expressed her excitement, noting that the character is unlike anything she has portrayed in her career so far.Describing Sharika, Pallavi elaborates, "Sharika is unique. She is bold and beautiful. I haven't shown my share of acting in such a character yet. It's a simple story about how a woman navigates the twists and turns of destiny. She is not a daredevil but a strong woman for whom family is everything. Sharika's attire is also different from anything I have played before. The next exciting aspect of the show is the storyline, which delves into the friendships between two women. This also attracted me to the character. Though it was short, I relived my college life during the shoot of our college sequence." Expressing her gratitude for the love and acceptance from the Malayali audience, Pallavi shared, "Now, people have started recognizing me in Bengaluru as well. Not many know me by my name; they would call me Alli teacher or Daya. It feels so overwhelming to see the love poured on me. I am moved by the work these social media pages are dedicating to us. They take time out of their daily lives to create videos of our work, and I can't thank them enough. Thank you for choosing me when you had the option to simply change the channel."
