Nayika Nayakan: Darshana S Nair and Shambhu Menon bag the title

The grand reality show Nayika Nayakan has concluded as director Lal Jose found the hero and heroine for his upcoming movie. Nursing officer Darshana S Nair and engineering student Shambhu Menon have won the title defeating 14 other talented contestants.
Out of the 16 contestants, six finalists competed in an eventful grand finale. While Vincy Aloshious and Addis became the first runners-up of the show, Malavika Krishnadas and Vishva, the best dancers of the show, were chosen as the second runners-up of the grand reality show.
Nayika Nayakan, the first-of-its-kind talent hunt reality show on Malayalam TV, aimed at finding a talented hero and heroine for Lal Jose, the director who is known for introducing new faces to Malayalam film industry.The show had popular actors Samvritha Sunil and Kunchako Boban as the mentors which made the show more entertaining.
Apart from the title winner, the show has paved way for the big screen entry for most of the other contestants too. Thejas, the best supporting actor of the show, was selected as the main villain in Lal Jose's upcoming movie. Venkitesh VP, the best comedian of the show was chosen to play the lead role in the upcoming movie of the Lal Jose's protege.
