Marimayam's Sumeshettan, actor VP Khalid passed away. Reportedly, on Friday morning, the actor suffered a cardiac arrest and was found unconscious in the washroom of a movie location in Vaikkom.
Khalid started his career as a theatre artist and later did some notable roles in movies too. The actor became a household name with his character Sumesh in the popular sitcom 'Marimayam'. Khalid was much loved for his realistic acting and sense of humor. The industry is shocked by the demise of the skilled actor and many celebrities have shared condolences on social media too.
"R.I.P Khalid Sir. We had some fun times on set," Nayika Nayakan fame Addis Antony wrote on his social media account.
Khalid is survived by his sons: cinematographers Shaiju Khalid, Jimshi Khalid, and director Khalid Rahman.
