Vijayan, a tea shop owner from Kochi, who became an overnight sensation for his world tours with his wife, passed away recently. The news has left many in deep shock.

has penned a note on her social media account paying tribute to Vijayan.


"Vijayan uncle.. Balaji Tea stall won’t be the same.. her life too. Feels like a personal loss. Hope all the sights, countries, and smiles made you the happiest," she wrote.

For the unversed, Vijayan and his wife, Mohana used to run a tea shop in Kochi. They saved money from their earnings and used it for traveling. They enjoyed trips across the world and set major goals for youngsters. In 16 years, the couple had visited 26 countries. In October, they had their last trip to Russia and wanted to visit Japan next.

The couple was also the favorite of the telly audience. They were first seen in the finale of the popular music reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam'. Notably, they were also part of the 155-day celebration of the comedy show '
