Higher the rating, higher the stress, says TV actress Praveena

"Rating wars between channels makes the job harder for each artist", says TV actress Praveena. She says that it is getting tougher day by day to cope up with new challenges and new styles.

Praveena, being one of the senior actresses in the Malayalam television industry, happily expressed that she hadn't had any bitter experience in the industry. Each serial set feels like her own family which gives her immense love and affection.

Being part of the industry for almost two decades, Praveena says that now acting in a prime time serial is tough, that too being in the lead role is the hardest. As the number of channels and serials increases, the audience gets divided. They possess the decision-making tool - the remote control in their hands. So, it's really tough to grab their attention. Rating is very crucial now and every artist has the same pressure on them she added.

Praveena opens up about her busy schedules that start from 8 am and lasts till 10 pm and the pressure on the actors to finish the maximum number of episodes in a day. She says that as the cost of shooting has increased, the pressure on producers and directors has also increased. So, they pressurize the artists to accomplish as much as they can in a day.

Praveena is currently playing the lead role in the TV show Kasthooriman for which she has also received an award for the best character actress of the year. She is also a popular face on the big screen, with a good number of character and guest roles in films to her credit.
