Dance Kerala Dance

has concluded its journey declaring Amrita V T as the winner. The native of Thrissur was elated to win the title. Amrita and her celebrity mentor Ramzan Muhammed received the trophy from actor Antony Varghese. Actress and judge of the show

Priya Mani

presented them a cheque of Rs. 10 lakh.

The background dancer-turned-contestant Amrita was seen emotional after the announcement. The dancer thanked the whole team of DKD for their support.

Contestant Zamroodh was declared as the first runner up and Ahish bagged the third position. Preetha and Nikhil were awarded the 4th and 5th positions respectively.

Along with the contestants, Amrita's mentor and

D 4 Dance

fame Ramzan Muhammed was declared as the best celebrity mentor of the show.

Amrita, the 20-year-old self-made dancer from Thrissur is a school dropout. She lost her father at a very young age and her mother passed away a couple of years ago. Amrita started her dancing career as a background dancer and performed in reality shows and other stage programs.

Starting from her performance in the audition round, the young dancer mesmerised the judges and the viewers with her dashing performances. The judges often lauded her for drastic improvement.

The first season of the grand reality show was judged by actress Priya Mani, director Jude Anthany and choreographer Jai Kumar Nair. The show which started its journey with 12 contestants, was anchored by

and Arun.
