The conversation has since sparked a heated debate among fans and viewers of the show.
During a casual chat inside the house, Shanavas approached Gizele with what he described as “well-meaning advice,” urging her to reconsider her wardrobe choices. “The way you are brought up, your profession, everything might be different. I suggest you be a bit more well-dressed. No matter what you are outside, this is a show watched by Malayalis. Freedom of choice of dress is for all, you can wear what you wish. But to earn their love, impression, and votes, you need to do it.”
However, Gizele appeared to take the feedback in a positive spirit and acknowledged Shanavas' point of view.

While some viewers supported Shanavas for being “honest” and looking out for his co-contestant, a large section of the audience criticized the comment as a form of moral policing.
