Bigg Boss Malayalam 7: Mohanlal slams Akbar for 'Septic Tank' remark, punishes him to get 'good certificate' from Renu within a week

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 has already found itself in the middle of a major controversy just a week into the show. The focus of the storm is contestant Akbar Khan, whose derogatory comment about fellow housemate Renu Sudhi drew sharp criticism both inside and outside the house. In the recent weekend episode, host Mohanlal addressed the issue with firm words and a unique punishment.

During a task where contestants had to assign nicknames to the housemates they like and dislike, Akbar called Oneal “Mr. Perfect,” while referring to Renu as a “septic tank,” claiming she was filled with toxic traits. The remark immediately sparked outrage among viewers and left Renu deeply hurt.



Mohanlal, clearly disturbed by the comment, confronted Akbar on the weekend stage. “How can you say something like that on a platform watched by lakhs of families? That is not just inappropriate, it’s disgraceful,” the actor said sternly.

Akbar admitted his mistake, saying he did not intend to target her personally or disrespect womanhood. He claimed it was said in the heat of the moment as part of the game and that he had already apologized to Renu.

Renu, sharing her side of the story, said she was left embarrassed and emotionally shattered.



Mohanlal expressed his disappointment and went on to assign Akbar a punishment: he must earn a “good certificate” from Renu within one week. If he fails to do so, he will face serious consequences inside the house.
