The latest episode of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 took an emotional turn as contestant
Anumol opened up about facing height-based discrimination in the entertainment industry. Amidst the usual drama and conflicts, the house witnessed a deeply personal moment that resonated with many viewers.
It all began with a disagreement between Anumol and fellow contestant Gizele. Anumol confronted Gizele for not wearing the outfit provided by
Bigg Boss, accusing her of defying the show's instructions. In her defense, Gizele claimed that her original uniform had torn, and what she was wearing — a set of lingerie — was also issued by Bigg Boss. The conversation, however, quickly escalated when Gizele made a comment that many saw as height-shaming.
"Some of us are not small like you, we have height and weight," Gizele said, prompting an emotional response from Anumol. Though Anumol initially snapped back, she was later seen retreating to the washroom, breaking down in tears over the incident.
In a heartfelt conversation with fellow contestant Shaitya, Anumol revealed how height discrimination had been a painful part of her journey. “When I came into the industry, I faced many rejections because of my height.
Whenever I asked why, they would simply say, ‘You don’t have height.’ I used to go from shop to shop just to find heels to wear,” she said, choking back tears.
Shaitya offered comfort and encouragement, telling Anumol that she had already proved her worth by reaching this stage in life and being on such a prominent platform. “The same people who rejected or mocked you are now watching you on Bigg Boss,” she reminded her.
