Director Akhil Marar became a sensation after his entry into Bigg Boss Malayalam 5. Hours before the much-awaited winner declaration, fans predict him to be the one lifting the trophy too. Ahead of the finale, here is a quick look at his journey in the show.
Akhil Marar received much flak for his statement disrespecting the late Attappady tribal Madhu. Akhil Marar mocked Sagar, who had stolen food from the kitchen. "Are you Madhu to steal rice from the kitchen? Go and steal something else. He will also face the same consequences as Attappady Madhu," he said in the show.
In the weekend episode, host Mohanlal slammed Akhil for his statement and warned him. On behalf of the whole team and the contestant, the actor-host apologized to Madhu's family and viewers. Later, Akhil made a public apology.
Akhil Marar landed in yet another controversy with one of his statements about beating his wife. In one of his private conversations with Sobha, Akhil mentioned that he had beaten his wife. When Sobha mentioned the domestic violence she had faced in her marriage, Akhil said that it is the story of every woman. Further, in the weekend episode, host Mohanlal slammed Akhil for the insensitive statement.
Both Akhil and Sagar received criticism for one of their fights in front of host Mohanlal.
"I have asked you to give the hand to Sagar and you have thrown it. I felt it was disrespectful. I happily came here to celebrate Easter with you all. I had planned so many things. Had traveled from Jaisalmer. Traveled 4 to 5 hours from there to the airport, then got a flight and reached here. It has turned out to be an upsetting experience for me. So, I am winding up the show here," the host said and raised his voice to the crew asking them to cut the line.
The much-celebrated duo of the season, Sobha and Akhil made the viewers laugh many times. However, one of their fights by the poolside was the most hilarious one.
Akhil had received multiple warnings for his derogatory comments on Sobha. However, one of his comments degrading her business landed him in a huge controversy. In one of the episodes said that Sobha has been buttering everyone in her business. Owing to this incident, the Bigg Boss team received complaints from State Commission for Women and Akhil made a public apology to all women entrepreneurs for hurting their sentiments.
Akhil, who was accused earlier of one of his derogatory comments about the show, landed in yet another controversy inside the house.
During a discussion, Akhil was justifying one of his earlier statements about Bigg Boss. He said that he meant to convey that if he ever goes to Bigg Boss, he might get angry and even flash in the show. While making the statement, he does the inappropriate gesture of lifting his dhoti stating that he is original. Shocked by his gesture, inmates accused him.
Akhil was accused of physically attacking inmate Junaiz. In one of the episodes, the duo was seen engaging in an argument and eventually, Akhil opposed Junaiz with his shoulder. Soon, Junaiz lashes out at him for physical assault and he demands the latter to be thrown out of the show. Later, Bigg Boss called them to the confession room and warned them.
Akhil was undoubtedly a complete entertainer in the house. His lady avatar after Sobha gives him a makeover left the viewers in splits.
Undoubtedly, Akhil has set major father goals after the episode. The scene of Akhil's daughters running towards him and the trio falling on the ground was one of the best moments in the show so far.
