The grand finale of
Bigg Boss Malayalam 3
has grabbed a record
TRP
rating. The show which aired on August 1 has gained 17.41 TVR in the prime time slot.
Earlier, the highest rating recorded was a 15 TVR by the grand finale of the first season of Bigg Boss Malayalam. Besides the much-awaited winner declaration, the grand finale of Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 was a star-studded event that seems to have struck a chord with the viewers.
Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 concluded after declaring actor
Manikuttan as the winner. The actor received a trophy and a flat worth Rs 75 lakh. While model Sai Vishnu secured the first runner-up trophy, Dimpal Bhal got the third spot. The list was followed by other finalists Ramzan Muhammed, Anoop Krishnan,
Rithu Manthra
, Kidilam Firoz and
Noby Marcose respectively.
For the unversed, Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 premiered on February 14. In the premiere, 14 people from different walks of life entered the BB house as contestants. However, the show couldn't complete 100 days due to the second wave of COVID-19. The season got suspended after 95 days of telecast and the contestants, who were left in the house, were declared as finalists. Further, an online public vote was conducted and the winner was announced accordingly.
On the other hand, Meera Vasudev- KK Menon starrer 'Kudumbavilakku' continues to be the most-watched show on
Malayalam TV
, followed by '
Santhwanam
' and 'Ammayariyathe'.
