Veteran actress Girija Lokesh, on Thursday (March 18), has got her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Although the actress did not mention anything about it, it was her son-and tv host Srujan Lokesh, who took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of his mother getting the first prick of the vaccine.
While the actress looks all smiles to the camera, Srujan also penned a sweet note saying.
"Joining hands towards the fight against Covid." (sic)
That's not all, the proud son also put up an interesting note to his mother which translates, "My mother strongest" in English.

Besides, in order to spread awareness several celebrities, who have got their first dose of the vaccine have posted about it on social media.
On a work front, Girija Lokesh is currently seen playing a supporting character of 'Girijamma' in the popular daily soap Sathya. The actress, who once ruled the silver screen with her charm is not new to the Kannada telly industry.
She had earlier been a part of the show 'Ivalu Sujatha', which went off-air during the nationwide lockdown imposed due to the rage in the novel Coronavirus.
Girija Lokesh is also the mother of host-actor Srujan Lokesh and wife of late actor Lokesh.
