, had stayed away from a couple of the episodes of the show recently. Speculation about whether he would return or not, considering he has begun work on his directorial that stars Darshan, has now been put to rest by the TV channel that confirms that he will indeed return.
A source from the channel, tells us, “Harikrishna has been busy with some family commitments, as well as with the directorial responsibilities of his upcoming film Kranthi. But he will be back on the show very soon.”.

Gurukiran had pitched in as a replacement for Harikrishna on this show that is also being judged by musicians
Raghu Dixit and
Rajesh Krishnan. Edhe Thumbi Haaduvenu was earlier hosted by the late playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam. It is currently being hosted by Ankita Amar. The show offers a platform for upcoming singers, irrespective of age, to showcase their singing prowess.
