TV’s Sarasu, Supritha Sathyanarayan to play a writer in her next film

Actress Supritha Sathyanarayan is slowly and surely making inroads in

Kannada

films, having just signed her second project, called

Rugna

, directed by debutant

Sunil S Bharadwaj

. The team will begin shooting this week in Bengaluru. Supritha says, “I play a young

writer

who is slowly getting into the limelight as a popular

novelist

. There are two intriguing shades to my character, which made me accept the project. I am glad that I get to do such challenging roles so early in my career. The entire team is full of newcomers, who have received training in their respective departments, be it editing, direction and music. I was amazed by the way they have sketched each

character

in the movie and the plans they have in place for the shoot are immaculate.” Despite doing films, Supritha has not bid adieu to the small screen and continues to be seen in Sarasu as the title character.
