Kannada daily soap which hit the small screens in mid December, 2018, completed a successful run of 100 episodes.
The serial showcases sheds light on gender inequality in the society and raises voice against female foeticide as well. The story deals with the life of a girl named Raga who is hated by her father because she is a girl. He illtreats her right from her birth and and is always biased towards his son. The only support in the world Raga has is her mother. Raga lives with the hope of winning her father’s love one day.

It is touted that latest technology has been deployed in the making of this serial. The makers have also used the art form 'Ink blot' for the first time during the promotion of the serial.
Mounaraaga is produced by Ravi G. Garani and directed by Tilak. Abhilash and Joel have penned the lyrics for the title track crooned by Ananya Prakash and Siri.
