Having donated her hair, the actress has now shared a picture of her trimmed hair on her Instagram handle along with a small note which reads, "Today’s post is very close to my heart and is special for 2reasons
-To donate hair for a cause was at the back of my mind for about 10yrs now and have finally fulfilled it.
-To be able to break the mindset that s created around you of how dancers/artists need to look in a certain way." (sic)

She also added, "I am so glad and proud that I have been able to take this step. The first time I saw someone with short hair was @cartoon_natyam some 15yrs ago n was quite shocked to see her on stage like that, through the years seeing @padmini.ravi aunty n many others and with age and maturity, I think art is more of how we perceive it. Thank you to both, you have inspired me in more than one way." (sic)

Having said that, the actress concluded her post by saying, "Being a teacher has helped me question myself more often than ever and to look at things beyond. I’m sure there are a lot of us juggling through unanswered questions. I’m so glad I took this plunge." (sic)
