Shivaji Surathkal world televison premiere on August 9

Kannada movie Shivaji Surathkal, which released on February 21, will be aired on television on August 9. The film, which has Ramesh Aravind in the lead role, saw him playing the titular character of a detective. The film is directed by Akash who last directed Badmash.


The project, which has Radhika Narayan, Rekha, Arohi Narayan and

in lead roles, got a mixed response at the

box office

. The film open with a murder case. Roshahn Ravi, the son of a powerful minister, dies under mysterious circumstances at a resort in Rangiri. The case is handed over to Shivaji, a dilgent police officer. He is initially reluctant to visit the resort because of a past experience, but finally takes up the murder and visits the resort to collect evidences.

After visiting the resort, the plot unravels about his personal life and he starts solving the case within 48 hours. The project also has Avinash, Ram Manjjonaath,

Raghu Raamanakoppa

, Surya Vasishta and Somjith Gupta in pivotal roles. Judah Sandy has composed the music. Guruprasad is the cinematographer and the duration of the film is little over two hours.

Meanwile, Ramsh Aravind’s next, which is titled 100, will also see him in the role of a cop. The shoot of the movie is almost complete. Ramesh recently posted on Instagram, “Happy sets backed by good scripts end up as Memorable films .Directing 100 was a joyride.Movie is completed and ready(sic).”
