Shilpa Shetty is about to embark on a love story with plenty of twists and turns. The movie’s called
Ramachari 2.0, but the actress insists that barring the title, it has no connection with Ramachari and Mr and Mrs Ramachari. Thej R, who plays the male lead, is also the director, having released Rewind, his directorial debut, in April.
“The entire movie is set in a village,” says Shilpa.
“It’s a love story which has lots of twists to keep the audience engrossed. I will be lovingly called Margret by the male protagonist.”
There’s another heroine in the movie, but her identity is a secret for now.
The actress has also wrapped up Sugar Factory which has Darling Krishna in the lead role. “I am not supposed to reveal anything about my character in the movie, but Sugar Factory has a refreshing story which will appeal to younger audiences.”
Successfully straddling the small and silver screens, Shilpa is also acting in the serial, Marali Manasagide, which is getting good TRPs. “I enjoy working for both television and films,” she says.
