Rishabh Shetty's 'Kantara' set for World Television Premiere on January 15
After the mega theatrical and digital success, Rishab Shetty's blockbuster Kannada film 'Kantara' is all set for world television premiere on January 15. The movie will air on a general Kannada entertainment channel that has daily soaps like Marali Manasaagide, Muddumanigalu, Katheyondu Shuruvagide, Manasella Neene, and many others.
The story of 'Kantara' is set around a small community living in the woodlands of Kaadubettu in the southern coastal state of Karnataka. It weaves an interesting plot of human versus nature conflict, where death leads to war between villagers and evil forces, and Shiva, a rebel, defends his village and nature.
Produced under the banner of Hombale Films by Vijay Kiragandur, the action-adventure is written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also acts in the movie alongside Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, and Achyuth Kumar.
Talking about Kantara, the Kannada movie was released and dubbed in other languages as well. The film received excellent response in all states.
‘Kantara’ earned more than Rs. 400 crore across its pan Indian release. The entire country saluted this achievement of Kannada cinema.
On the other hand, having set records both in theatres and on OTT, Rishabh Shetty fans are predicting that the movie on the television platform is likely to set a new record in terms of TRP as well. The comments section on the promo shared by the channel airing the movie on social media is proof of it.
