On the work front, Ranjani was last seen in the daily soap Kannadati, which went off-air recently. She essayed the lead character of 'Bhuvaneshwari' in the show and managed to strike an emotional chord with the viewers.
Speaking about the same in an earlier interview, Ranjani said, "My on-screen character in Kannadati, Bhuvi, is loved by everyone irrespective of any age group. It is a surreal feeling to gain so much love from the viewers. Little did I even expect that Bhuvi's character would turn out to be this close to the viewer's heart."
She added, "Being a part of a daily soap and getting close to the hearts of today's youth is not an easy task. The youths are basically very choosy about their likes and dislikes. And if they are liking my on-screen character Bhuvi is of course a bliss to me. Maybe, they are able to relate to the little joys of what Bhuvi finds in her life. Maybe, the narrative of the story is relatable to the youth. Moreover, there are no unnatural incidents or scenes in the show so far. Maybe the youths like that aspect. You never know!"
