Actor Rakshith Gowda, best known for his role as Vijay Desai on the TV show Amruthavarshini, was last seen on small screen in the serial Yajamani. Of late, Rakshith has been shooting for a web series called Bangalore Tales. “The story revolves around Bengaluru. It has an interesting subject which will surely entertain viewers,” he says.
On #QuickTakesWithBangaloreTimes, Rakshith talks about his five all-time favourite actors.
1.Dr Rajkumar: He is an encyclopedia for those who wish to learn Kannada and all about Kannada cinema. There are so many kinds of characters he has played on screen and he had this knack of fittingin and playing that role to the T. He was also an inspiration for fitness enthusiasts, you will see that he maintained a perfect body right from the time he first appeared on screen and all the way up to his last big screen outing.
2.
Kamal Haasan: I have enjoyed watching Kamal Haasan on screen, and I totally love his films such as Nayakan and Vishwaroopam. I think he is one film personality who can do anything extremely well – be it acting or directing.
3.
Amitabh Bachchan: The first thing that strikes you about Amitabh Bachchan is his voice.
His films - Don and Zanjeer are my all-time favourites. Even his more recent films, like 102 Not Out, is an inspiration for any young actor.
4.Amrish Puri: The dialogue ‘Mugambo Kush Huwah’ strikes a chord that takes one back to childhood. It does for me too. During those years, a film without Amrish Puri seemed incomplete. Such was his impact. I have adored the late actor right from my childhood.
5. Vajramuni: Popularly known as Natabayankara, Vajramuni is something else. There is just no comparison to this caliber as a performer - every Kannadiga will vouch for that.
