Puttakkana Makkalu
. The actor has reportedly quit the show midway. However, a clear reason behind his decision to quit the daily soap is yet to be disclosed.
The fact that Karthik left Puttakkana Makkalu after bagging the lead role in the newly launched daily soap 'Raji' can't be ignored. Karthik essays the role of an NRI in
Raji.
Karthik essayed the character of 'Chandru', who is an advocate in Puttakkana Makkalu. Chandru is close to the female protagonist, Sneha. He is more like a soul brother to her. On the other hand, Chandru is also the son-in-law of
Bangaramma
in the show.
Meanwhile, with Chandru's exit, another actor is likely to replace the latter very soon. According to sources, the new actor has already joined the team and has been shooting for the upcoming episodes of Puttakkana Makkalu.
The story of Puttakkana Makkalu is all about a single mother who has three daughters. How the mother and the daughters fight against all odds to lead a happy life in the village, forms the crux of the story.
The daily soap has an ensemble cast including veteran actress Umashree in the titular role. Besides Umashree, the show also has Sanjana Burli, Manju Bhasini, Dhanush, Pavan Kumar, Chandana Mahalingiah, and many other noted actors in prominent roles.
