Fondly known as 'Akhil' from Agnisakshi, Rajesh dedicates a poem in Kannada saluting womanhood.

ಹತ್ತೋಳು ಹೆಣ್ಣು,

ಹಿಂಸೆ ತಡೆಯೊಳು ಹೆಣ್ಣು

ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಅಂದರೆ ದೇಶದ ಗಡಿ ಕಾಯೋ

(roughly translates to)

She is the one who gives birth,

She is the one who bares violence

Women is equivalent to a soldier protecting the borders

If a soldier protects the country, a woman shields her family and toils to uplift her family. Let's wish every woman who has played a beautiful role in our life a 'Happy Women's Day'.

The actor, who is all set to make a comeback on small screen in a new avatar, will be playing 'Vedhanth Vashista', a lead role in the upcoming soap 'Gattimela'. With utmost excitement in his voice, the actor said, "A woman plays a very important role in everyone's life. In my life, my mother and my sisters have always been my support system. One gave me birth while the other thought me how to lead my life. It's quite common for a youngster between the age of 21-22 to get distracted in life and that is when you need someone who is responsible and thoughtful. Especially for a boy, he needs someone to monitor and show him the right path. Be it mother, siblings or his companion, every man needs a woman in his life to guide him. I really thank the three beautiful women in my life without whom I would not have been what I am today".

Fondly known as Rajeev from 'Putta Gowri Madve', the actor is portrayed as a strict police inspector in the serial. The actor shares a simple yet powerful message to all the lovely ladies out there.

The actor, who is known for his performance as Saaketh in Nammane Yuvarani, takes up the opportunity and urges everyone to put an end to female fetus determination. He said, "A woman is solely responsible for a child to grow up as a responsible individual. Be it a boy or a girl, it's a woman at the end who takes care of a child most of the time. I must say I am blessed to have my mother and elder sister by my side to always guide me. Now that I'll be getting married, my fiance is equally supportive in every stage of my life. Be it our sister, mother or any woman; let's pledge to respect every woman in the society. Let's raise our voice against all the atrocities against women and make our surroundings a better place to live".

Pavan, who plays the role of Nakul in Kinnari, said, "Three women whom I owe in my life are my mother and sisters.

While one who gave birth & taught each and every basic thing in life, the other two who actually molded me to become a better human being. They have helped me in each and every step of my life, held my hand and supported me in all the decisions I took. In short, these women helped build 'ME'. I feel women are the actual architects of our society".

Sharing his views on Women's Day, he said, "Firstly, I would take up the opportunity to wish all the women out there a very Happy women's day. Be it nature or our country, we refer to them as a woman. That's the standards we have set for a women in our country. But looking at the present scenario, I somehow feel that we are not able to give basic respect what a woman deserves. At the same time, a woman is no less to a man these days. In fact, women are way ahead than men in many disciplines. That's the best part and I congratulate all the women for that. It's important to respect a woman and only then we can actually celebrate her day."

Women's Day should celebrate as a daily routine but not once in a year."
