Popcorn Monkey Tiger to premiere tomorrow on television

Starring Dhananajaya, Niveditha, Amruthya Iyengar and Sapthami Gowda, the

film Popcorn Monkey Tiger

will be aired on television tomorrow at 4:30 pm. The project, directed by Duniya Soori, was released theatrically only this February.

As the movie is getting screened on television tomorrow, Dhananjaya, in an Instagram video says, “Both my character in

and as Monkey Seena in Popcorn Monkey Tiger, gave the biggest break for my career. After I worked with Soori in Tagaru, he offered the Monkey Seena role. The character has a dark shade but with a philosophical touch and that is what makes Monkey Seena different from Daali. Initially, it was decided to carry the

Daali

name even for Monkey Seena, but later it was decided to go with a different name. I had to shave my head completely to get into the skin of the character, so it was an amazing journey to be part of the movie. I still remember the first day of the shoot when the director asked me to come to the sets near Nayandahalli, even without having a bath.”

In the movie, Niveditha as Popcorn Devi, Sparsha Rekha as

Padma

, Amrutha Iyengar as Sumithra, Sapthami Gowda as Girija, Poornachandra Mysore as Babu and Prasantha Siddi as Havrani, were seen in pivotal roles. Charan Raj has scored the music. The song

crooned by Sanjith Hegde, became quite popular.
