Kannada television is all set to welcome yet another daily soap. A new daily soap titled '
Rukku
' will be premiering today (January 4). The show will be airing on a leading Kannada General entertainment channel at the prime time slot.
The new show will be replacing the timeslot of the dubbed mythology show 'Radha Krishna'.
The channel airing the show has launched a new promo, which showcases the love between siblings. In the promo, the younger sister is seen eagerly waiting for her elder sister to return home from the farm. Just when the elder sister arrives, the younger sister ties the Rakhi on her wrist and shows gratitude to her for taking all the responsibilities at home. The promo also shows how the elder sister has been taking care of the younger sisters from childhood.
The upcoming show marks the TV comeback of actress
Shoba Shetty
after a gap of few years. Shedding her glamorous avatar, Shoba will be seen playing the role of a naive girl in the upcoming Kannada daily soap 'Rukku'. The actress will play the titular role of a village belle, who is the lone breadwinner of the family.
On the other hand, actor Aryan Gowda will be seen as the male protagonist in the show. The show also has notable actress
Rekha Krishnappa
in a prominent role. Rukku also marks the acting debut of Kirik Keerthi's wife Arpitha Keerthi.
