Ameeta Kulal, who has acted in critically acclaimed movies like
Gift Box
, is making her debut on the
small screen
with the
serial
Puttakka Makkalu, directed by Arooru Jagadish. The shoot of the serial is expected to begin next month.
Speaking to us, she says, “I had attended many auditions to get a vital
role
in a serial, but I was not getting the role which I aspired for. I am glad that I finally got the right role which is a perfect launch pad to enter into television. My role will inspire many girls who fight against all odds to achieve something in life.”
About making the transition from the small screen to the silver screen, Ameeta says, “Acting is the same whether it is a small screen or silver screen. For me, as a young actress, I am looking forward to portraying challenging roles.”
In an earlier interview with us, she had said, “I am the second daughter of Puttakka who is very studious and wants to crack UPSC exams so that all the problems in her life can be solved. She wants to prove a point by becoming an
IAS officer to show the world women are no lesser than men in any aspect of life."
