Moorugantu to go off air
Kannada serial Moorugantu, which went on air in February, will be ending its journey on television. The serial, which has Anirudh Balaji and Samikshaa in lead roles, managed to retain it’s slot post lockdown, but it is now the latest to join the list of serials which will be going off air. The serial had completed 100 episodes in August and the actors and technical crew members had celebrated the milestone by cutting cake on the sets.

According to sources, the channel has decided to replace it with a new show, because of low TRP ratings. The last episodes of the serial will be aired from today, till November 15.
Moorugantu is the second project in the career of Anirudh Balajia, after Yeradu Kanasu. In the serial, Vikramaditya, whose popularity is on the wane, conducts a Swayamvara-themed show, Moorugantu, to revive his career. But he ends up getting married to Pavani, whom he doesn’t like. On the other hand, Shravani is a diehard fan of Vikramaditya, who adores the star. After getting married, Pavani tries to win his heart by winning the confidence of Vikramaditya’s family members.
