Deepika says, “It is comparatively easy to play a fresh character rather than essaying a character which was already played by another actress, because audiences tend to compare the two characters and they point out flaws quickly. As actresses, we need to take up such challenges. Before I accepted this role, I did some homework - like watching the previous episodes - which helped me get into the skin of the character in no time.”

The actress, who is sharing screen space with Shishir for the second time, adds, “Our chemistry mesmerized audiences in Kulavadhu, so we know each other very well and that will help us connect with audiences easily. Having worked with a co-star for more than a year comes in handy on sets, as you can shoot sequences seamlessly without consuming much time.” Dhanya was previously acting in the serial Aarthigobba Keerthigobba which went off air abruptly, due to poor TRP ratings.
