One week in Bengaluru, the next week in Hyderabad. That’s what actress
Kaustubha Mani
’s life looks like as she heads to the
Telugu
television industry to act in a new soap opera,
Kodallu Meeku Joharlu
, directed by K V Reddy.
Known for her role as Inchara on the small screen, Kaustubha, who signed up for Kannada movie
Ramachari 2.0, says: “As an actress, I am keen to explore and experience new industries. I was getting offers from the
South
television industry and thought now was the time to venture into the neighbouring Telugu small screen industry, which is second home for many Kannada artistes.”
Talking about her character in the serial, she says: “I play a simple girl, Mithuna. She conveys her feelings through poetry, making her lovable. The entire team was happy with my Telugu diction. Impressed by the fluency, they said I didn't need any prompting on the sets.”
Wrapping up shooting for Ramachari 2.0,
Kaustubha
is currently juggling between Kannada serial
Nannarasi Radhe
and the Telugu serial. “It is the first time I am working on two serials simultaneously. Once I am used to it, I will find it easier to handle,” sums up Kaustubha.
