Kannada films displace television shows from TRP charts

Romantic film Kiss has topped the

TRP

charts as per the latest TRP

ratings

. Kiss is followed by Pailwaan,

Commando

,

Raajakumara

and Bulbul. Interestingly, there are none of the mega

serials

featuring in the top five slots.

As

reality

shows and serial

shootings

are temporarily stalled due to the lockdown, general entertainment channels are now airing more movies to be on top of the TRP ratings. The government’s decision to give permission to resume shoot of serials has come as a relief for producers, actor and directors. The Kannada television association has decided to start shooting from May 25.
