Prerana is seen essaying the role of Nakshatra, a well-known theatre actor. In fact, the show was named Rangayanaki keeping her character in mind.
Nakshatra likes to enjoy her life without worrying much about the past or future. She hails from a rich family. Suddenly, she goes missing under mysterious circumstances. The story narrates how Nakshatra rediscovers herself.
As the story progresses, she will try to find out the reason behind her parents deserting her. Prerana starts searching for her biological parents.
The serial has a strong cast, which includes Mithun Tejaswi (playing Pawan's father), Anushree, Girish Bhat, Inchara Joshi, Lakshman and many others.
