Kannada daily shop Mangalyam Tantunaanena which successfully completed 500 episodes recently will soon go off-air. While sources close to the show confirmed the same, an official confirmation from the makers and channel airing the show is awaited.
The show, which narrates the story of two contrasting personalities brought together by destiny, is one of the most popular shows on Kannada television.
The story revolves around
Shravani and Tejasvi, who lead completely contrasting lifestyles.
Shravani, a middle-class girl, gets married to Tejasvi, who is from an affluent family. Shravani is portrayed as the epitome of luck. However, she gets unlucky when it comes to finding a suitable groom until destiny brings Tejasvi into her life. How a well-educated middle-class girl Shravani fits into an affluent Tejasvi’s family forms the crux of the story.
Despite having a forced marriage with Shravani, Tejasvi finally falls in love with his better half, whom he hated earlier. They strike a deal between themselves. While Shravani decides to teach her husband Kannada, the latter helps her learn driving.
The show has
Divya Wagukar playing the lead character of Shravani while RK Chandhan plays the male protagonist.
Interestingly, the show was recently dubbed into Tamil as 'Asha Kalyanam'.
On the other hand, rumors are rife that many other shows being aired on the same channel are also likely to go off-air soon.
