Geetha Bharathi Bhat, Shobitha’s co-star from the serial Brahmagantu, shared an emotional message, saying, “You shouldn’t have left us like this. Your smile, your love for life, and your presence will be terribly missed.” Actress Rashmi Prabhakar wrote, “You should have fought back,” while Aishwarya Baspure added, “Unbelievable news. You’ll be missed. Your warm smile and kindness will always be remembered. Om Shanti.”
Actor Chandu Gowda recalled Shobitha as “the sweetest girl” he had ever met, and Varshitha Seni shared her disbelief, writing, “Still trying to digest.”
Shobitha Shivanna, who had gained fame through popular serials such as Brahmagantu and Ninidale, tragically died by suicide on Sunday in Hyderabad. She was residing at Sriramnagar Colony in Gachibowli. According to the police, her body was discovered at her residence, and a case has been registered as the investigation continues.
The actress’ remains have been sent to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem examination, following which her family plans to transport her body to Bengaluru for final rites.
