According to Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda, the actor fired a shot into the office roof amid a financial dispute over a stalled film project. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The preliminary investigation revealed that Thandaveshwar intentionally fired his weapon during the altercation, prompting police to file an FIR under IPC Section 109 for attempted murder and the Arms Act for misuse of a licensed firearm.

Financial Dispute Over Film Project

The conflict stems from a movie titled Devanampriya, which Thandaveshwar and Navunda began working on two years ago. Struggling to secure a producer, Thandaveshwar invested ₹6 lakh of his own money to kickstart the project. Recently, a producer from Hassan agreed to fund the film, but production has been slow, aggravating tensions. Thandaveshwar demanded a refund of his investment, which led to the confrontation.

Police reports indicate that Thandaveshwar visited Navunda’s office with the intention of resolving the financial issue. However, the discussion escalated into a heated argument in the presence of several people. In a fit of anger, the actor pulled out his licensed gun and fired into the air, with the bullet piercing the office roof.

Background of Thandaveshwar and Bharat Navunda

Thandaveshwar, who hails from Hassan, rose to fame with the TV serial Jodi Hakki, which aired for over two years. He made his film debut in 2019 with Ondu Kathe Hel La.
