Kannada actor-producer Dileep Raj passes away of heart attack at 47

Kannada actor and producer Dileep Raj passed away after suffering a massive heart attack on Wednesday. He was 47 years old. According to reports, he was rushed to a hospital after collapsing, but doctors were unable to revive him.

Dileep Raj was a well-known face in the Kannada entertainment industry and earned popularity through both films and television serials. He gained widespread recognition after starring alongside Puneeth Rajkumar in the 2007 hit film Milana. He was also appreciated for his performances in films like U Turn and Boy Friend.

Apart from films, Dileep Raj made a strong mark on Kannada television through serials such as Hitler Kalyana, Janani, Ardha Satya and Kumkuma Bhagya. He also produced television serials under his banner DR Creations and was known as a talented dubbing artist and theatre performer.

Before entering television and cinema, Dileep Raj was actively involved in theatre and worked with reputed groups like Nataranga and Drishti, where he honed his acting skills. His journey into television reportedly began with the telefilm Kambada Mane.
